Doncaster Athlete sets new Australian Record

At VLAA's State Championships held recently at Olympic Park, Doncaster Heights' athlete Natalie Rule won both the U14 girls 800m and 1500m races.  Not only did Natalie bring home the gold, she also set a new Australian Little Athletics Record in the 800m with an outstanding time of 2:12.79 (breaking a 22 year old record) and setting a new Victorian Best Performance in the 1500m with a time of 4:39.27.

Natalie was also a member of Athletic Victoria's state team who competed in Sydney earlier in March at the Australian Junior Athletics Championships at Sydney's Olympic Park. Natalie won gold in both the U15 800m race with a time of 2:13.17 and the U15 1500m race with a time of 4:39.00.

Congratulations Natalie - Everyone at Doncaster is very proud of your efforts.
