Coaching for Doncaster Athletes will
be held every Wednesday afternoon during the T&F season (summer).
This will now start on 7th October to 9th December (inclusive) at
the following times.
- 4:30pm - 5:30pm
General Training (All athletes welcome)
- 5:30pm - 6:15pm
U9-U11 Relay Training
- 6:15pm - 7:00pm
U12- U15 Relay Training
Doncaster will also hold its own Multi
Event Training day for Doncaster Athletes only on Sunday 29th
November 11:00am - 2:30pm. More details will be
available closer to the date.
Coaching on Wednesday afternoons will
resume after the Christmas break with Multi Event training (100m,
Hurdles, Long Jump, Discus and 800m) from 4:30pm to 6:00pm on the following dates:
- Wednesday 13th January
2010
- Wednesday 20th January
2010
- Wednesday 27th January
2010
General Event Training and Squad
Training will
resume on 3rd February and run to 17th March
(inclusive) at the following times.
- 4:30pm - 5:30pm

please register your interest with your child’s coach as soon as
possible.

Each year EMR run two coaching camps at Crystal Creek, Alexandra
for the beginner to the advanced little athlete to improve technique
and skill in Track & Field events in a friendly and supportive
environment. This is always a fun weekend for the athletes.

VLAA Junior Development Squad (JDS)
for the 2009/2010 season
The JDS gives athletes
an opportunity to gain new skills and improve technical competencies
through participation in coaching and training sessions with some of
Victoria's leading coaches. The
JDS Program consists of numerous activities including coaching
days, education sessions, role model sessions with elite athletes,
presentation ceremonies and a coaching camp.
Training
with other keen and enthusiastic squad members is both fun and
motivational, and helps develop new friendships based on an
enjoyment of athletics. The emphasis on learning new athletic
skills, and improving existing skills, is in a friendly and
supportive environment.
The JDS is open to all U12 - U15 Athletes who have met the
Qualifying Standards.

and
have it confirmed by a Centre Council Member.

Would you like to learn
how to Race Walk? Although we don't offer this
event at Doncaster (due to the lack of experienced Race
Walking officials), this is a VLAA State Event and this
is a perfect opportunity to learn. The clinic is
being held at Collingwood LAC and is free to registered
athletes.

Once again VLAA are runnng a Multis Clinic for U14 and U15
athletes. For those "all round" athletes who are interested in
competing in the State Multi Event Championships in January 2010 or
hope to be selected in the U15 ALAC Multi Championships in April
2010, this is a great opportunity to receive expert coaching in the
5 Multi Event Disciplines - 100metres, Hurdles, Long Jump, Discus
and 800metres. Cost is $5.00 which is payable on the day and
registrations close 2 December 2009.

Not going away over the Christmas holidays? This is a perfect
opportunity for U11 athletes to develop their athletic skills - and
it's FREE. All events will be covered in this comprehensive 2
day training clinic where athletes will rotate through 10 events of
45 minute duration. Registrations close 15 December but
as places are limited to 150 athletes only get your registration in
quickly.
Parents are also invited to attend
free sessions on officiating during these days.
